Catherine Habersetzer

67420 Saulxures - Find

Catherine, pastry chef and guesthouse manager. Her story: Catherine has always treated her family and friends to her sweet bakes. 2014 saw family heritage, a beautiful Vosges farm and an opportunity arise for Catherine to leave her exciting life in banking, suit, client portfolio and product placement behind for a spatula, apron and the peace of a village with 500 people. And Catherine doesn't do things by half... it's not unusual for her to get up in the middle of the night to redo a glaze that she doesn't think is up to par. She threw herself into a pastry NVQ that she passed with flying colours. So in 2015 she opened her super-cosy themed B&B in Saulxures with her husband Thierry and launched her pastry workshop. Catherine on Catherine: "I like hosting guests like I would friends. I think this little village in the Bruche Valley is a healthy environment close to nature in a traditional setting where I can explore and share my passion." There's the sweet scent of "gourmet treats" in the air...
