    Old pink sandstone farm built in 1791. It was home to several generations of Mennonites, notably the family of Nicolas Augsburger, but bears the name of one of the most remarkable figures: Jacob Kupferschmitt. The latter is famous for having obtained from the revolutionary authorities, in 1793, exemption from armed service for his co-religionists, thus foreshadowing conscientious objection.
