With its 1099 meters, the Champ du Feu is the highest point in the Bas-Rhin. Its high altitude thatch vegetation and its rounded peat bogs make it a natural space that is as fragile as it is exceptional. Part of the massif is classified as "Natura 2000", the European program which defines areas for the preservation of remarkable natural environments.
