In the 19th century, Lutzelhouse housed a cotton and combed wool spinning mill, a mill and a mechanical sawmill. Near the factory, the Scheidecker family had a castle with a flight of steps built, complete with a hunting lodge and stables.
Today it is one of the most beautiful industrial complexes in the Bruche valley.
